Meet the owners

Morning Glory Cottage is owned and operated by Jim and Chris Hanley. 

Jim and Chris have a deep and long history in the Roat Acres neighborhood, having lived and raised a family here since 1986. Prior to that, Jim grew up in Roat Acres with his parents owning several homes here since the early 1950's. The Hanley family is deeply engrained in the history and story of this precious, special neighborhood.

Starting in 2021, they purchased Morning Glory Cottage and completed a complete rehab on the property. The initial goal was to have the property for the friends and family that love to stay at the beach (and that is still what it is often used for). but after some time they realized it was not being used and appreciated to it's fullest potential. First they opened it up to Jim's fishing charter customers (He is the owner/operator of Jim Hanley's Fishing Charters), and then slowly expanded reservations to the public.
